. so you see that snow in the sierra nevada. mother nature helping out just a little bit. 38 in yosemite with 56 in sacramento. still a few lingering showers to the south. we have a high surf advisory along the central coast with significant swells down through santa monica. be careful if you are headed to the coast later on today and bundle up. it is going to be quite chilly out there. 54 at san mateo. san francisco mid-50s. 55 in concord. so not much of a change. numbers in a very narrow range. it's certainly cooler than yesterday, but compared to the bay area and the central coast, very cool with mid-50s. here's a look at our accuweather seven-day forecast. still in the 50s tomorrow, despite all the sunshine. the winds will finally dial back. we get warmer each and every day. around average wednesday and mid-and upper 60s thursday and friday. jacques this is february. it looks like then we could see some changes by the end of next weekend. certainly cold this morning. >> cold, but something to look forward to. thanks, lisa. dan harris joins us from new york to tell us had

will see showers for the morning hours. in the sierra nevada they are starting to get some snow. it is coming up from the south, and you can see it is a mild storm. it is resulting in the possibility of a couple inches of snow. not expected to be a big snow maker. the snow levels are running high and it will be above 7,000 feet. the temperatures right now are 40s and 50s. it was certainly a cooler day today. the visibility as you will notice with some fog developing down to 3 miles in novato. when you head out the door you will not only face the showers, but the fog. so keep that in mind. the rain continues overnight and damp for the morning drive and a chance of rain for this weekend. do not can sell your plans. it is not going to be a wash up. here is the system producing the rain. it is a slow mover. once the system moves through we will see the rain winding down. here is the computer animation. you notice the front continues to move down to the south. in the morning in the bay area you are still going to see the rain showers, and the showers won't wind down this will early a

, cold temperatures. in the sierra nevada we are well below zero, about 9 below at the airport this morning. 27 this afternoon with the low 50s along the coast. 58 in los angeles. they will have some wind tonight through tomorrow and that will bring those temperatures up. but everyone really expecting the cooler than average temperatures. we should see about 52, 54 downtown. we are only at 50 today. numbers over in our inland valleys only in the upper 40s. livermore similar to yesterday, 49. 48 in antioch with some low 50s for santa rosa. down by the monterey bay and along the coast, just at about 50 degrees. the winds will be light, though. that will keep it bearable out there. plenty of sunshine. 52 salinas, 50 hollister. then overnight tonight. once again we will see plenty of 20s, upper 20s fremont, could see some mid-40s around oakland, 32 san mateo, and below freezing santa cruz. half moon bay about 34. hers the forecast. a frosty one again tonight and we will look for temperatures to come up maybe two or three degrees tomorrow. then more moderating temperatures tuesday a

, yeah. okay. well, if you are going to head up to the sierra nevada, no delays. and warmer afternoon highs a week ago in the mid-20s. mid-40s today for highs. it's zero right now in the sierra nevada right around truckee. 3 at the tahoe valley airport. this is vollmer peak. the east bay valleys are below freezing. we are talking about still above-normal precip for santa rosa down through san jose with nearly seven inches for the season in san jose. no worries yet, but we do have the possibility of rain in our seven-day outlook. live doppler 7hd right here, right now, showing clear conditions. in fact, we aren't going to look at any cloud cover for the next several days. but by tuesday we will see increasing clouds. the ridge breaks down. that ridge protecting us and we could see a little rain by the middle of the week. and certainly the second half of the work week it's much cooler. speaking of cool, what about cold this morning in fairfield. 28 degrees. 29 santa rosa with 45 in san francisco. look at half poon bay. 52 degrees. so what a wide range of temperatures. just 31 in livermo

into the sierra nevada. light rain also in vegas. if you are headed out even along the coast, mild visibility half moon bay. really some changing weather conditions throughout the day today all around the bay area and to the south of us. so starting out there is fog. turning cooler today and a cool, dry pattern into next week. we aren't talking about any rain. the only possibility of rain we are looking at is from this weak system to the north and it's only going to give as you slight chance. yesterday's rain in southern california continues to move out of the picture. but we could have a slight chan of a shower from this incoming system. now, to the north and west of us is the cold air that is bottled up from the gulf of alaska. as this front pushes on through, it provides that instability, that cooler air and a slight chance of a shower throughout the entire weekend but it favors the north bay and especially into your sunday morning. so forecasted highs across the state really taking a hit from the mid-60s in our own neck of the woods to the 50s. 60s in southern california, but a dry day today w

a few light snowshowers up towards the sierra nevada. most of those look like they are long gone. one line of thunderstorms very severe through oklahoma city. tornado warnings out here on the back side of that, freezing rain and snow. that's the forecast for oklahoma city. all in one lane. severe weather, then turning snow by tonight. if you are heading to new orleans, that system move -- moving over oklahoma is on its way there. if you have a flight, maybe a red eye, it could get bumpy there, especially if you are coming in around 2:00, 3:00 in the morning. by about 9:00, 10:00 in the morning, most of that will be gone. there will be a severe line going in there tomorrow. 30s, 40s, near 50 degrees. 49 half moon bay. the cloud cover though is really saving us from being much, much colder. a lot of high clouds. chilly start. upper 50s, low 60s on the temps. everyone again, not much of a difference. only about a 6-degree spread between the coolest high temperatures. gilroy, 62, the warmest, everyone else is close. upper 50s or low 60s. tomorrow we should clear out the cloud cover. sunny

. 55 nevada city and mountain view and forecast feature it's partly cloudy overnight. still a very remote chance of isolated shower overnight but that chance is diminishing rapidly. cooler tomorrow and this cool dry pattern that settles in tomorrow will continue into the middle of next week. let's look at the forecast for overnight low. not a cold night. cool in some spots but not cold. north bay valley we see low of 43 santa rosa 44 at napa 42 over at fairfield but most location near the bay near the coast line low in the mid to upper 40's to almost 50's as a matter of fact. satellite image shows approaching weak cold front. it has some clouds witness but very little in the way of moisture which 80's we are not likely to get showers from the system. behind the front big cold air mass dropping down out of the gulf of alaska. this is system that will be the significant change in our weather pattern this weekend bringing us below normal temperatures so let's take a look at how things shape up for tomorrow. south bay partly cloudy to mainly sunny. high tomorrow 57 san jose.
